TheImmunoStar5HT2Areceptorantibodywasqualitycontroltestedusingstandardimmunohistochemicalmethods.Theantiserumdemonstratesstronglypositivelabelingofratcortex,amygdalaandhippocampususingindirectimmunofluorescentandbiotin/avidin-HRPtechniques.Recommendedprimarydilutionsare1/300-1/500inPBS/0.3%TritonX-100 -Bn/Av-HRPTechnique.Theadditionofintensifyingreagentssuchasnickelammoniumsulfatetothechromogensolutionwillapproximatelydoublethedilutionfactorasrecommended.
Immunolabelingiscompletelyabolishedbypreadsorptionwithsyntheticrat5HT2Areceptor(22-41).ImmunolabelingofWesternblotrevealedasinglebandofapproximately53kD.
